It was ok, we enjoyed a bit of extra time in the beautiful garden! I wish I could recall more names of staff from the girls who were always willing to help out, kitchen staff, servers and the guy who seemed to be everywhere and doing everything including rounding up partiers to get on the bus on time! Staff was phenomenal! The Borthwick Castle wedding experience was a memory of a lifetime!…īorthwick Castle is simply the ultimate authentic castle wedding experience in Scotland! My other half and I loved the castle immediately and are so glad we booked our wedding here. With a bit a telephone work, Damien even managed to get that worked out for us being ever so apologetic about our inconvenience. The staff also organized taxis for everyone that required one the next day, and there were quite a few going in a few different directions and all but one arrived in a timely manner.
The whole staff worked very well together as a team and kept all the guests happy looking after every detail possible. Dinner service was very professional and elegant. There was always staff available to answer questions or to offer help. Service was exceptional!! From the moment we pulled up to the castle we were treated like royalty! Our bags were taken as we greeted our friends, then when we were ready, escorted to our room and given a castle map and itinerary.

Later in the evening there were evening snacks served, not that anyone could possibly be hungry! We stayed the night and in the morning there was a full breakfast served!! All food was absolutely fabulous in taste, presentation and service. Absolutely beautiful fairy tale venue! Guest rooms were stunning with great attention to details spanning centuries! The antique furniture, decor and structures lovely embraced modern conveniences as beautiful tub/shower, mini fridge, hairdryer and even a clothing steamer!! Culinary wise: The wedding consisted of informal garden gathering with beverages and appetizers followed by a full sit down gourmet meal.
